Black Desert Golf Course is a resort 18-hole golf course located in Ivins, Utah on the outskirts of Zion National Park. The course gets its name from the lava fields through which it is routed.
Tom Weiskopf, and Phil Smith designed the course. Nine holes open to daily-fee play in November 2022, and the remaining nine holes will open for play in the spring of 2023.
The "19-hole," 7,200-yard course is intricately routed through the land’s famed black lava rocks to create a dramatic desert canvas. Designed to make playability a priority, golf here is all about fun for everyone—with fair greens, forgiving fairways, and 70- to 100-yard landing areas for beginners, yet plenty of risk/reward elements to challenge the most die-hard golfers at the back tees.
