Detailed description

South Mountain Golf Club, is a Public, 18 hole golf course located in Draper, Utah.

The golf course at the South Mountain Golf Club first opened for play in 1998. The course was designed by David Graham and Gary Panks.

Rated by Golf Digest as one of the top three courses in the state, South Mountain offers a truly memorable experience to the golf enthusiast. Located on the foothills of the Wasatch Mountain range, 15 minutes from Salt Lake City. South Mountain features a stunning and challenging mountain-side links style 18 hole championship course, as well as a state of the art driving range and putting greens. The undulating greens are the most challenging characteristic in the design, but the downhill par 3's, several of which feature major elevation changes will make even the most skilled golfers hesitate on their club selection..

From the moment you driving up to the clubhouse high above the Salt Lake Valley floor you realize you are in for a special golfing treat at South Mountain. The course stretches to 7080 yards from the tips and will challenge the finest of golfers.

The design is one that allows golfers a serene setting with holes that you can't see any other golfers from hole to hole. The golf course is so spread out and rugged that golf carts are mandatory and walking is out of the question. A well taken care of facility and being one of the finest course designs in Utah, don't miss South Mountain Golf Club in the spring and fall.

Par for the course is 72. From the back tees the course plays to 7,080 yards. From the forward tees the course measures 5,165 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 13, a par-5 that plays to 605 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 16, a par-3 that plays to 140 yards from the back tees.

Watch out for # 6, a 565 yard par-5 challenge and the #1 handicap hole at the South Mountain Golf Club golf course. The easiest hole is # 16, the 140 yard par-3.
