Quarry Golf Club, The, is a Public, 18 hole golf course located in San Antonio, Texas.
The Quarry golf course first opened for play in 1994. The course was designed by Keith R. Foster.
The front nine plays in a links style format and features rolling hills, native grasses, and immaculate greens. The back nine lays out in an 100 year old quarry pit.
On the front nine you will find rolling hills, long grassy rough, plenty of water and bunkers. Don't let the wide open fairways fool you because a surprise awaits when you get to the greens. Most on the front nine feature undulating topography that make getting down in two putts a real challenge. Particularly interesting holes include number 5 which is a long par 5 guarded by water on the left and large hilly burms on the the right. Another is number 8. It is a relatively short par 3 but the elevated green makes the tee shot really fun.
As you move to the back nine the experience becomes more visually intense. Chiseled from Texas stone, the back nine features spectacular views and many challenging shots. With a 10 acre lake and limestone walls that stand 100 feet high you will enjoy the elevation challenging tee shots you are presented with. Teeing off over the lake on number 13 will mentally challenge you. The signature hole, number 17 features a tee shot that flies over the gaping quarry pit below you. It is not named "Reload" for nothing!
With four sets of tee boxes, you will find your challenge level at the Quarry no matter what level of player you are.
The course plays to a par of 71.
