Detailed description

Blaketree National Golf Club is a public 18-hole golf course located in Montgomery, Texas, a little more than an hour north of Houston. The course is open for daily fee play Tuesday through Sunday.

Blaketree National Golf Club opened in 2000. The course was conceived and designed by Houston businessman Thomas W. Blake. Ben Crenshaw and Bill Coor started out to try and build a replica of Augusta National for billionaire Thomas Blake. Blake decided to take over and finish the job halfway through. The result is 18 holes built across hilly terrain, inside a fortress of 100-foot pine trees. It’s one of the courses you just have to play to understand how beautiful it is.

Black tees: par-71, 7,196 yards, 75.2 / 139
Gold tees: par-71, 7,006 yards, 74.6 / 135
Blue tees: par-71, 6,505 yards, 72.1 / 130
White tees: par-71, 5,946 yards, 68.2 / 120
Red tees: par-71, 5,040 yards, 68.5 / 114

The course closed in 2014.

Blacktree was reborn the following year as a totally new course named Blackjack National, the first Tiger Woods-designed golf course.
