Patriot Hills Golf Club first opened for play in 1997. The course was designed by Jerry Hodge who is the course owner and also owns the nearby 27-hole Dandridge Golf & Country Club.
Patriot Hills Golf Course has fairly wide fairways with about half being tree-lined. The terrain is hilly, so there will be a lot of uneven lies. Water hazards come into play on four holes, and sand bunkers are located on half of the holes. The greens are large, sloped and generally fast. The course is situated in an upscale neighborhood with houses in view but not encroaching on play
Par for the Patriot Hills Golf Course is 72. From the back tees the course plays to 6,710 yards. From the foward tees the course plays to 4,974 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 8, a par-5 that plays to 584 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 17, a par-3 that plays to 140 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 6, a 453 yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at Patriot Hills Golf Course is # 15, a 187 yard par-3.
