Keowee Key Golf & Country Club first opened for play in 1973. Yje course was designed by George W. Cobb. The course was rennovated in 2007 by Richard Mandell.
The course wanders through the Keowee Key Golf, a premier active adult and retirement gated residential community and in many places the course has wonderful views of Lake Keowee and the Blue Ridge Mountains.
Par for the course is 72. From the back tees the course plays to 6452 yards. From the forward tees the course measures 5031 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 6, a par-5 that plays to 547 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 7, a par-3 that plays to 172 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 6, a 547 yard par-5 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at Keowee Key Golf Course is # 17, a 180 yard par-3.
