Columbia Country Club is a Private, 27 hole golf facility located in Blythewood, South Carolina. Columbia has three nine hole courses, the Ridgewood, Tall Pines, and Lakeside.
Columbia Country Club opened for golf in 1962. The course was built on a 280 acre tract of farm and woodland. Ellis Maples designed the course.
In 1999, the Club underwent a million dollar plus renovation. This project, completed in 2001, brought all 27 holes up to current USGA tournament standards. The new greens are now planted in Tif-Eagle Bermuda grass. The more than 90 bunkers on the course were rebuilt for better drainage and all teeing areas were leveled and rebuilt as well.
