Wyoming Valley Country Club is a Private, 18 hole golf course located in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania.
The Wyoming Valley Country Club was officially chartered on June 16, 1896, and is the fifth oldest golf club in Pennsylvania and forty-fifth in the United States. The original course was nine-holes, which was replaced by the current course, designed by A.W. Tillinghast and opened for play in 1925.
Although most of the holes have been lengthened, trees have been planted, and ponds added or enlarged over the years, the course is true to the Tillinghast original. Narrow, undulating fairways and small, sloping greens more than make-up for Wyoming Valley's lack of overall length.
From the back tees, the course plays to 6,178 yards. From the forward tees, the course measures 5,197 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 12, a par-5 that plays to 532 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 13, a par-3 that plays to 173 yards from the back tees.
