Springfield Country Club is a Public 18 hole golf course located in Springfield, Pennsylvania.
Over & Tingley, Civil Engineers located in Havertown Pa back in the 40’s engineered the original golf course design dated September 23, 1947.
The Springfield Country Club Recreational Complex is owned by Springfield Township. In the 1980’s the Township embarked on a Greens restoration project to redesign all 18 greens on the golf course. The course was redesigned by David Myers and James Simpson. The project was completed in the spring of 2000 and has greatly enhanced the condition and layout.
Par for the course is 70. From the back tees the course plays to 6041 yards. From the forward tees the course measures 4879 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 11, a par-5 that plays to 505 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 6, a par-3 that plays to 169 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 1, a 414 yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole is # 8, a 187 yard par-3.
