Ace Club
The course history traces back to 1982 when it opened as Eagle Lodge Country Club. The course was designed by Rees Jones. Eagle Lodge Closed in 2001, but was rennovated extensively and reopened in 2003 as The ACE Club. The golf course was extensively changed and was the design work of Gary Player and Warren Henderson.
The ACE Club plays to 7,500 yards from the championship tees for a par of 72.
The ACE Club golf course is a predominantly hilly course, but there are some level areas. The greens are large, and water hazards come into play on a few holes, including #9, a 183-yard, par 3, requiring a carry over pond to the well-bunkered green. The Pennsylvania PGA Championship was held here from 1985 to 1992.
The Ace Club is a beautiful Philadelphia-area golf course, a private facility that exposes its members and guests to excellent elevation changes, pristine conditions and a varied layout. The greens are beautifully contoured, with sometimes severe slope and undulation as well as having multiple levels, and they frequently drop off to deep ravines.
