Loch Nairn Golf Course opened in 1972. The course was designed by H.C.Smedley.
Loch Nairn is a good, solid parkland layout with good use of elevation changes, but still walkable. This championship shot makers course with tree lined fairways, wetlands, streams and lakes demands precision shots to interesting undulating bent grass greens. The greens are medium large, with modest contouring, and somewhat slow. There are sand bunkers scattered throughout the design, and water hazards come into play on twelve holes. The course starts out with a 350-yard, par 4, which calls for an approach shot over a creek. This same creek also crosses the fairway on the next two holes.
Loch Nairn Golf Course is a par-70 challenge that measures 6,409 yards from the back tees.
