Prairie View Golf Club first opened for play in 1991.
Prairie View Golf Course is a parkland style course. The tree lined fairways are generally flat. This course has medium-sized greens that are undulating and moderate in speed. Water comes into play on five holes. Besides the water, Prairie View offers some challenges if you get off the fairway into the heather. Prairie View was built on farmland in 1991, so with the trees that were planted back then and over 400 more trees in 2002 the course is becoming more and more challenging every year.
Par for the course is 71. From the back tees the course plays to 6,396 yards. From the foward tees the course plays to 5,564 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 15, a par-5 that plays to 545 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 2, a par-3 that plays to 149 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 17, a 410 yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at Prairie View Golf Course is # 1, a 288 yard par-4.
