Hueston Woods Golf Course, is a Public, 18 hole golf course located in Oxford, Ohio.
200-acres of beech/maple woods and rolling green hills are the backdrop for one of southwest Ohio’s best golf bargains - the 18-hole championship course at Hueston Woods State Park in Preble County.
The course is open all year, weather permitting, with a host of specials offered between April and October.
Hueston Woods Golf Course is a par-72 layout that stretches 7,044 yards. Area golfers say they have found the course “well worth the travel time it takes to get there†and “a great course at a great price.â€
The signature 16th hole is a par 3, 165 yard carry over water that challenges novices and veterans alike. The hole has more water than land and can be pretty intimidating.
Also daunting are the 30 sand bunkers, four ponds and many mature trees that dot the course.
Wildlife and wildflowers abound in the old-growth forest that borders the course. Some of the state’s oldest trees are found in the 200 acres of woodland, which has been designated a National Natural Landmark.
Hueston Woods Golf Course is the home course for Miami University located nearby in Oxford, Ohio.
The nearby 94-room Hueston Woods Resort Lodge features a formal dining room and lounge, game room, and indoor and outdoor pools for relaxing after a round of play. The park also offers 35 fully furnished family cottages, each sleeping up to six people. Two premium cottages feature master bedroom suites.
