Community Golf Course is a public 36 hole golf facility located in, Dayton, Ohio. The facility has two 18-hole golf course, they are The Hills Course and The Dales Course.
Both The Hills Course and The Dales Course opened in 1919. The courses were designed by Alex Campbell.
Nestled in the rolling hills south of Dayton is the Gem of the Dayton public golf system, Community Golf Course. These two courses are referred to as the outside course (the Hills Course) and the inside course (the Dales Course). The fairways are moderately narrow because of the numerous mature trees originally planted around the turn of the century.
Par for the Dales Course course is 71. From the back tees, the course plays to 5,302 yards. From the forward tees, the course measures 4,167 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 12, a par-5 that plays to 564 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 11, a par-3 that plays to 100 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 7, a 472-yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at Community Golf Course, The Dales Course is # 11, the 100 yard par-3.
