High Point Country Club, Emerywood Golf Course

High Point Country Club is a Private 27 hole golf facility located in High Point, North Carolina. The facility has a 9-hole golf course, Emerywood Golf Course, and an 18-hole championship golf course, Willow Creek Golf Course. The Club has two different clubhouses, one for each course. The courses are not co-located.

Emerywood Golf Course first opened for play in 1923. The course was designed by Donald Ross.

There is an ongoing debate as to whether the Emerywood was designed by Ross, but there is no doubt the course has a lot of Ross-like character: rolling fairways, elevation changes, and smaller, undulating greens.  #6 is a 165-yard, par 3, that requires an accurate tee shot to a small, circular green.
