River Run Golf & Country Club is a Private, 18 hole golf course located in Davidson, North Carolina.
River Run Golf & Country Club first opened for play in 1989. The course was designed by Robert Walker. Raymond Floyd was the design consultant for this course.
This traditional course was built on hilly terrain and is heavily tree lined. The greens are small and heavily undulated. Water hazards (natural streams and ponds) come into play on ten holes.
#4, a par-3, is the easiest hole on the course. This downhill hole is the easiest hole on the golf course. It plays 163 yards from the Championship tees and 150 yards from the Member tees. The green is protected by a bunker on the front right edge.
#16, a 454 yard par-4, is the #1 handicap hole as well as the signature hole. The tee shot must be struck solidly up a slight dogleg fairway, then an approach shot across two water hazards to an elevated green.to get into position for the uphill approach shot to this well-bunkered green.
