The Metropolis Country Club Golf Course first opened for play in 1922. The original 18 hole golf course, designed by Herbert Strong, was later expanded when the noted golf architect A. W. Tillinghast redesigned the course while adding the current 7th, 12th, 13th and 14th holes. In the early 1970's, architect Joe Finger reconfigured the 15th and 16th holes to accommodate needed additional parking areas. During 1998 and 1999 Joe Finger's partner, Ken Dye, updated the course once again, lengthening the course to its current 6784 yards.
Metropolis Country Club Golf Course is a challenging Par 71 golf course featuring many uneven lies, doglegs, 6,784 yards in length with undulating greens that are a test of every aspect of the best player's shot making ability.
