Shadow Pines Golf Club first opened for play in 1984. The course was designed by Pete Dye.
This course has hilly fairways and undulating greens. The back nine is much longer than the front nine. Water hazards (six ponds) come into play on four holes, plus numerous sand bunkers protect both the fairways and greens.
Par for the course is 72. From the back tees the course plays to 6,763 yards. From the forward tees the course measures 5,292 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 3, a par-5 that plays to 599 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 7, a par-3 that plays to 163 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 15, a 437 yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole is # 7, a 163 yard par-3.
The signature hole is #9, a 192-yard, par 3, requiring a tee shot past a pond on the left side of the fairway to a well-bunkered green.
The course closed in 2016.
