North Fork Country Club, is a Private, 18 hole golf course located on the east end of Long Island New York in the town of Cutchogue., New York.
North Fork Country Club first opened for play in 1912. The course was designed by Donald Ross.
This old, links-style course has fairly narrow fairways. Locals say that the small greens contain so many slight undulations and subtle breaks that only they can read them. The terrain is flat, and the wind from the bay can become a definite factor.
The signature hole is #3, a 400-yard, par 4, requiring a series of shots into a strong prevailing wind.
Par for the course is 71. From the back tees, the course plays to 6,315 yards. From the forward tees, the course measures 5,170 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 8, a par-5 that plays to 562 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 13, a par-3 that plays to 155 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 8, the 562-yard par-5 challenge is the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at North Fork Golf Course is # 10, a 212 yard par-3.
