The Ramsey Golf and Country Club Golf Course first opened for play in 1940. The course was designed by Hal Purdy. The course benefitted with a $ 2.4 million renovation project in 2005 handled by course designer, Ronald Cutlip.
This par-69 course is a real shot-maker, its narrow paths designed to require you to shoot accurately. At the same time, the Ramsey Golf and Country Club course is a rare beauty, in that you play through a wooded, park-like atmosphere lined with thousands of big mature trees, and dotted with lakes and ponds. The gently rolling terrain and the small, undulating greens will challenge you while filling you with a sense of tranquility. There are out-of-bounds stakes surrounding the course. There is water that comes into play on nearly every hole. The greens are crowned and severely sloped, and the hilly fairways are narrow. There are several sand bunkers on every hole.
The Ramsey Golf and Country Club Golf Course measures 5,540 yards from the longest tees and 4,869 yards from the forward tees. The course starts of with the longest hole, #1 is a par-5 that measures 525 yards. The shortest hole is #13, a par-3 that measures 136 yards from the back tees.
