LakeRidge Golf Course is an 18-hole public golf course located in Reno, Nevada.
Lake Ridge opened for play in 1969. The course was designed by golf architect, Robert Trent Jones, Sr.
The course is a tribute to Jones' design style. It has rolling fairways with strategically placed bunkers. Elevated greens add interest, and well-spaced water hazards create multiple forced carries. 17 of the holes are delightful and provide you with typically nice golf, nice enough that the course has been voted as the best in Reno for ten consecutive years. As a bonus, you also get great views of Reno and the surrounding mountains. Located just 4-1/2 miles from downtown, it's also one of Reno's most accessible courses.
However, what golfers remember is Lake Ridge's signature hole, number 15. This world-class par 3 has the tee box sitting high atop a rocky ridge 140 feet above Lake Stanley. At the 15th tee, from the tips, you find yourself 140 feet above and 239-yards from the pin. Due to the drop, the hole plays 40 - 50 yards shorter. Golfers not only get a spectacular panoramic view of the Reno area but a fun and a challenging tee shot to a natural enticing island green for a truly world-class setting. If you par #15, all is right with the world and your love of golf is once again rewarded.
The course is a par-71 and 6,715 yards with plenty of water hazards to challenge any level golfer. Greens fees include a mandatory golf cart rental.
