Grandpa's Woods golf course first opened for play in 1960. The course was designed by Rex and Boyd Clemens.
Grandpa's Woods is a challenging nine-hole executive course. Unlike most executive courses, Grandpa's Woods challenges you by requiring you to play virtually every club in your bag. You might need a driver to make sure you clear the water and you might need your 6-iron to hit a straight shot that doesn't find itself in one of the many trees along the fairway.
The course is loaded with natural beauty, from the trees that are almost as old as the State of Nebraska itself, to a 1905 silo to an old covered bridge. Grandpa's goal has been met when he stated he wanted to preserve a little bit of nature in this course. This executive course was built in a scenic, remote location. There are several mature walnut, maple and Locust trees that can alter your shots.
Grandpa's Woods Golf Course plays to a par 30 and a 9-hole distance of 1,626 yards.
