Cottonwood Hills Golf Course - Championship, is a Public, 18 hole golf course located in Bozeman, Montana. The Cottonwood Golf copmplex has an 18 hole course, The Championship Course, a 9 hole course, The Executive Course as well as practice facilities.
Established in 1984, Cottonwood Hills Golf Club is the Gallatin Valley's first and foremost public golf facility. The golf course was originally built as a 9 hole facility to later be expanded to a full Championship 18. During the expansion in 1994, the Club made a brilliant decision to move the driving range to the north of the parking lot and construct an Executive Par 3 Course where the previous range was.
In case the Champioship course's 6,971 yard length and rating of 1.6 strokes over par and a slope of 137 is not enough; here are some of the features to look forward to. Three holes conclude within an amphitheatre of cottonwood trees that tower to over 100 feet. All players must face water hazards that come into play on two-thirds of the holes. Even the numerous sand bunkers require a full repertoire of shot making ability; from the casual fairway bunker to the high lipped pot bunkers.
