Bay Breeze Golf Course first opened for play in 1962. The course was designed by Nathan Crace. The course closed after Katrina but reopened in 2008.
Bay Breeze Golf Course is located right off of a back bay where the wind can be a factor all day long. There are water hazards that come into play on nine of the eighteen holes. The signature hole is #10, a 180-yard, par 3, with a breathtaking view of the back bay that borders the course. The greens are large and well bunkered. If you love military planes, you can't beat Bay Breeze, 15 and 16 are next to the air field.
Par for the course is 70. From the back tees the course plays to 6047 yards. From the forward tees the course measures 5110 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 6, a par-5 that plays to 504 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 3, a par-3 that plays to 141 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 1, a 426 yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at Bay Breeze Golf Course is # 15, a 322 yard par-4.
