Interlachen Country Club, is a Private, 18 hole golf course located in Edina, Minnesota.
Interlachen Country Club has traveled a long road since it's origin in 1909. Playing host to the 1919 Western Open, 1916 Trans Mississippi, 1930 US Open, 1935 Womens Amateur, 1986 US Senior Amateur, 1993 Walker Cup Matches, the 2002 Solheim Cup, and the 2008 US Womens Open.
The Club initially had nine holes and the course was formally opened on July 29, 1911. The course was designed and laid out by William Watson.
Work on a redesign and expansion to 18 holes commenced in 1919 and was completed in 1921. This time the designer was Donald Ross. The course, with minor exceptions, remains his design.
In 1960 Robert Trent Jones was retained to make a complete survey and recommendation for modifications. In 1963 newly revised holes #1 and #3 were brought into play.
Interlachen plays to 6,829 yards from the back tees. Par for the course is 73. The course rating is 73.8 and the slope rating is 142.
