Walpole Country Club is a Private 18 holes golf course located in Walpole, Massachusetts.
Founded in 1927, Walpole Country Club is a private club that today serves a very active and golf-oriented membership. The existing golf course was designed by Al Zikorus in 1974 on the former site of the Allen family farm. In 1994, the club retained architect Ron Forse to develop a golf course master plan and numerous improvements have been made since then.
The course has several challenging dogleg fairways, and small, undulating greens. The layout runs up and down hills through most of the design. Be prepared to deal with water hazards from the first tee through the last.
The longest hole on the course is # 12, a par-5 that plays to 557 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 6, a par-3 that plays to 165 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 7, a 444-yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at Walpole Country Club is # 15, a 518 yard par-5.
