The Lakeside Course first opened for play in 1991. The Lakeside Course was designed by Phil Wogan and Homer D. Darling. Haomer D is the son of Homer C, one of the designers's of Juniper's other course, The Riverside. The course opened in 1991 during ceremonies which also commemorated the 60th Anniversary of Juniper Hill. It is a challenging Carolina-style course that takes full advantage of its New England setting.
