North Adams Country Club is a Semi-Private 18 holes golf course located in Clarksburg, Massachusetts.
North Adams Country Club first opened for play in 1903. The course was designed by Orrin E. Smith.
Par for the course is 36. From the back tees, the course plays to 2782 yards. From the forward tees, the course measures 2503 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 5, a par-5 that plays to 484 Yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 2, a par-3 that plays to 143 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 5, a 484 yard par-5 challenge and the #2 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole is # 8, a 143 yard par-3.
The course closed in 2013.
As the owners cleared trees and said nine new holes would reopen in 2014 and eventually the course would be 18 holes, something happened. A new course never reopened. What has happened, a 1.25-megawatt solar array with more than 4,000 panels over 4 acres will generate enough energy to power about 250 homes has been built. The plans are now to also build a small clubhouse and a 9-hole par-3 that will be subsidized by the solar farm.
