Players Club Of Henderson, is a Public, 18 hole golf course located in Henderson, Kentucky.
Players Club Of Henderson first opened for play in 1999.
This links-style course is situated on relatively level terrain, but the design does feature a copious amount of mounding around the fairways and greens. Twelve lakes and proliferation of sand bunkers combine to make the layout extremely challenging. The most difficult hole on the course is #5, a 445-yard, par 4. After carrying water off the tee and contending with two large fairway bunkers, this hole culminates with a downhill approach shot to a well-bunkered green.
Blue tees: par-72, 6,954 yards
White tees: par-72, 6,458 yards
Gold tees: par-72, 5,936 yards
Red tees: par-72, 4,927 yards
The course closed in 2015.
In 2018 the city of Henderson purchased the defunct course in large part thanks to a $500,000 donation from an anonymous source for the specific purpose of acquiring and opening the golf course.
The City of Henderson approved an agreement with K&J Course Management LLC to rehab, management and operation of the former Players Club Golf Course. The course will also get a new name; The Bridges Golf Course of Henderson.
Reportedly, the course could possibly be ready for play by July 1, 2019.
