The Tipton Golf Course was designed by Bill Diddle. Mr. Diddle designed the first nine holes in 1937, and the back nine holes in 1967
The course features eight dogleg holes with the Buck and Cicero creeks winding through several holes through the course. To add to the challenge and ambiance, there are over 1,500 trees bordering and shaping the fairways and dogleg holes, and 43 bunkers guarding the greens. The signature hole is #18, a 561-yard, par 5, requiring a long tee shot up a dogleg left fairway, then an approach shot over a creek to a green surrounded by trees.
The Tipton Municipal Golf Course plays to 6,607 yards from the back tees for a par of 71 . The course rating is 70.5 and the slope rating is119.
