Detailed description

Quail Crossing Golf Club is a Public 18 holes golf course located in Boonville, Indiana.

Quail Crossing Golf Club first opened for play in 1997. The course was designed by Tom Doak.

Quail Crossing’s fairway bunkers surrounded by bluestem and other prairie grasses will remind golfers of famed Shinnecock Hills. If you’re looking for an incorporate-the-lay-of-the-land design, this links-style course offers naturalistic elevation changes; it was carved through an old mining quarry, which you will no doubt appreciate on No. 9, as your tee shot sails over the natural quarry lake.

Par for the Quail Crossing Golf Club golf course is 71. From the back tees the course plays to 6758 yards. From the forward tees the course measures 5081 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 14, a par-5 that plays to 555 Yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 8, a par-3 that plays to 150 yards from the back tees.

Watch out for # 7, a 436 yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole is # 11, a 211 yard par-3.

# 8 is the signatur hole at the Quail Crossing Golf Club golf course. This 140-yard par 3 has a 40-foot drop down into the old mined quarry. It’s long and narrow with three large bunkers surrounding the green, and if the pin placement is anywhere near the back and the winds are blowing even a little, it can be extremely difficult.
