Macktown Golf Course is a Public 18 hole golf course located in Rockton, Illinois.
The course was designed by Alex Welch. Macktown first opened for play in 1931.
Mature trees line the fairways, and the undulating greens are small. The course is great for beginners because of the minimal amount of sand bunkers in play. Water only comes into play on hole #15, requiring a tee shot over a pond.
Par for the course is 71. From the back tees the course plays to 5756 yards. From the forward tees the course measures 5289 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 5, a par-5 that plays to 532 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 15, a par-3 that plays to 132 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 6, a 226 yard par-3 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole is # 11, a 303 yard par-4.
