Quincy Country Club

Quincy Country Club is a Private 18 hole golf course located in Quincy, Illinois.

The original Quincy Country Club golf course was 9-holes and was laid out by H.J. Tweedie in May 1899 and ran 2,844 yards with bogey at 47. (Bogey was a more common goal of even experienced players in the early days of golf when playing conditions were much harsher than those today.

Today's 18-hole layout design is credited to D.A. Weibring and the course par is 70. From the back tees the course plays to 6,445 yards. From the forward tees the course measures 5,503 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 16, a par-5 that plays to 604 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 13, a par-3 that plays to 116 yards from the back tees.

Watch out for # 5, a 472 yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at Quincy Country Club is # 13, the 116 yard par-3.

This course has narrow fairways. The course is heavily wooded and there is a creek that comes into play on several holes.
