Shagbark Golf Course

Shagbark Golf Course, originally named Spring Creek Golf Course,  is a Public, 9 hole golf course located in Onarga, Illinois.

Shagbark Golf Course first opened for play in 1925.

The small, fast greens can are challenging. The terrain is flat to gently rolling and the tree-lined fairways are wide open. There are no sand bunkers on the course. A pond comes into play on one hole.

Par for the course is 36. From the back tees, the course plays to 2,724 yards. From the forward tees, the course measures 2,172 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 9, a par-5 that plays to 435 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 7, a par-3 that plays to 120 yards from the back tees.

Watch out for # 2, a 305-yard par-4 challenge and the #3 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole is # 8, a 425 yard par-5.

The course also has a 175-yard driving range and practice putting green.
