Hend-Co-Hills is both an 18 hole, semi-private golf course and campground located in west-central Illinois. The course is open to the public 7 days a week and memberships are available. The original 9 holes, driving range, and campground were established in 1970, with the back 9 opened for play in 2002.
Hend-Co Hills golf course is located on flatlands. The fairways are tree lined and vary in width, and the greens are large and undulating. The front 9 is longer and more open than the back 9. It has gently rolling hills, generous fairways, and large undulating greens. The front 9 is ideal for beginners and junior golfers but has enough length to challenge better players. The back nine is shorter, but more challenging than the front 9. It has narrower fairways, more trees, and the South Henderson Creek comes into play.
Hend-Co-Hills is also the home golf course of 2004 British Open Champion Todd Hamilton. Todd is an Oquawka, Illinois native and grew up playing the original 9 hole golf course.
