Sky Valley Resort is a Semi-Private 18 hole golf course located in Sky Valley, Georgia.
Sky Valley Resort Golf Course first opened for play in 1971. The course was designed by Bill Watts.
The original design by course architect, Bill Watts capitalized on the natural features in the valley long present before the vision of a golf course. It is the highest course in Georgia and in the dog days of summer it is significantly cooler than courses elsewhere in the state.
In 2007 a major renovation and redesign was completed. Noted course designer, Bill Bergin transformed Sky Valley into a championship course. The first thing visitors notice are the lush textures of the new Sky Valley Country Club course. Bergin was able to locate and utilize unused parcels of land to lengthen and flex the size of the golf course. 500 yards were added to the courses length which is now almost 7,000 yards. With 5 sets of tees the course is enjoyable for every level of player.
