Par for the course is 72. From the back tees, the course plays to 6,760 yards. From the forward tees, the course measures 5339 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 1, a par-5 that plays to 522 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 4, a par-3 that plays to 176 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 5, a 428-yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at Windermere Golf Course is # 11, a 510 yard par-5.
The course closed in April 2016.
Course owner Bryan DeCunha purchased the 155-acre course for $2.17 million in 2011, He has sought county permission to redevelop the about one-third of the acreage into 95 single-family homes. Local residents are opposed. The county has denied permission. He has argued the county’s refusal to surrender the development rights has reduced the property’s value by $19 million.
