Wellington Golf & Country Club is a Semi-Private, 36 hole golf facility located in Wellington, Florida. The facility has two 18-hole courses. Ther is the regulation 18-hole course, The Landings and the executive 18-hole course, The Lakes Executive Course.
Both courses opened in 1985 and were designed by Ted McAnlis.
The Lakes Executive Course was built on similar terrain as the Landings Course, meaning basically flat terrain with some mounding thrown in for good measure. There are some sand bunkers on the course, but the main difficulty is all the water hazards coming into play on at least twelve holes. Numerous trees can affect your shots on the Lakes Executive Course.
The course has 15 par-3s and 3 par-4s.
Par for the course is 57. From the back tees, the course plays to 3,206 yards. From the forward tees, the course measures 1,966 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 7, a par-4 that plays to 319 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 5, a par-3 that plays to 104 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 9, a 281-yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at The Lakes Executive Golf Course is # 3, a 120 yard par-3.
Wellington Golf & Country Club changed ownership in 2007 and was renamed The Wanderers Club. The executive club was closed at that time.
