Detailed description

Bent Tree Country Club is a Private, 18 hole golf course located in Sarasota, Florida.

Bent Tree Country Club golf course first opened for play in October 1975. The course designed by Bill Lewis. Ward Northrup handled the redesign of the greens in 1994.

The club became private on September 1, 1985, but it was not until December the membership reached the required 300 members.

The fairways are tree lined, greens are expansive greens and lakes and stream combine to create a unique environment with an appealing blend of natural beauty and championship golf opportunities at Bent Tree country club. Bent Tree is a very walkable course and provides five sets of tees ranging from 5,350 to the tips at 6,880 yards.

Bent Tree golf course has two signature holes:

# 12, a par three that requires players to hit a tee shot to carry 185 yards over water to a steep front sloped green protected by a mammoth bunker in the front of the putting surface.

#18, a dangerous 511-yard par five that features a double dogleg and a three-tiered green.

With these two tough holes, you can see why the back nine is considered by all to be the toughest part of the course.

Gold tees: par-72, 6,880 yards, course rating 73.2, slope rating 133.
Blue tees: par-72, 6,512 yards, course rating 71.5, slope rating 128.
Black tees: par-72, 6,169 yards, course rating 69.6, slope rating 126.
