Bull Run Country Club first opened for play in 1997. The course was designed by Pat Gavigan.
Bull Run Country Club golf course has trees to avoid. The fairways have dogleg configurations and are well bunkered. The layout is undulating, including the greens. The signature hole is #8, a 165-yard, par 3, which offers a beautiful, scenic view. Hole #8 has an original bull pen to the side of the fairway; hence the name of the club.
Bull Run Country Club closed in 2005.
