Martin Downs Country Club is a Private, 36 hole golf facility located in Palm City, Florida. The facility has two 18-hole golf courses. They are, The Crane Creek Golf Course and The Osprey Creek Golf Course.
The older of the two courses is Crane Creek. Crane Creek first opened for play in 1976. The course was designed by Charles Ankrom and Arthur Young. The Tower Course opened in 1982. The Tower Course was designed by Charles Ankrom.
Both courses have generous fairways, but there are trees, sand bunkers, water hazards and a defined cut of rough that can provide difficult situations for all skill levels of golfer. The greens on both courses are undulating and average in size and speed. The Tower Course is the favorite of club members, while the Crane Course is liked more by the advanced golfers.
Crane Creek
Par for the course is 72. From the back tees the course plays to 6,802 yards. From the forward tees the course measures 4,327 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 13, a par-5 that plays to 534 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 11, a par-3 that plays to 172 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 2, a 373 yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at Lost Lake is # 14, a 192 yard par-3.
