Miami Shores golf course first opened for play in 1939. The course was designed by Red Lawrence.

The Miami Shores Country Club golf course were built on rolling terrain. The fairways are tree lined and the tees and greens are elevated. Water hazards come into play on five of the eighteen holes. The course was restored and reopened in 2011. The restoration design work was done by John Sanford.
