Iron-Wood Golf Course is an executive nine hole golf course located in Cerritos, California. The course plays to 1,468 yards and is a par 29.
Cerritos iron-wood nine golf course first opened for play in 1977. The course was designed by Ted Robinson.
Holes # 1, 3, and 5-9 are par 3s. The par 3 holes range from the shortest, Hole # 5 at 100 yards to the longest par 3 being hole # 9 at 151 yards. Hole #2, the first par 4 is 272 yards in length and the second and last par 4 is hole # 4 which measures 316 yards. Interestingly, the 2 shortest par 3s at 100 yards and 111 yards are regarded as the most difficult holes on the course in which to make par.
The course also features a lighted driving range that offers the option of hitting off grass or mats. Rental hand carts and clubs are available. Reservations for the course can be made up to one week in advance.
Course hours are daily, from 6 a.m. to sunset. Range hours are from 6 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. from April through October and from 6:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. from November through March. The range opens at 10 a.m. on Tuesdays.
Cerritos Iron-Wood Nine Golf Course has the look of a mature course. It is a nice place to practice your short game.
