Phantom Horse Golf Club, is a Resort, 18 hole golf course located in Phoenix, Arizona.
One of the more challenging Phoenix golf courses, Phantom Horse Golf Club at Pointe South Mountain blends traditional links with some of the best desert target golf in Arizona. The Phantom Horse golf course is built into the rocky slopes of South Mountain on the border of Phoenix and Tempe. The scenic Phantom Horse golf course was awarded Four Stars in "Golf Digest's" 2000-2001 "Places to Play" and named as one of the magazine's top 50 "Great Service" golf facilities in the nation. The par 71, 6336 yard Arizona golf course features a spectacular island green as well as a 7,000-square-foot practice green with a sand bunker, and chipping area, allowing practice for a variety of shots up to 40 yards.
The layout of this Phoenix golf course presents blind chip and elevated shots. Phantom Horse Golf Club blends a traditional links layout with some of the best target golf in Arizona. Phantom Horse is unique because it delivers two different styles of golf. The front nine is traditional, with a links feel and the back nine is desert style, target golf. The front nine is considered a warm up for the back, which is a lot less forgiving.
