Papago Golf Course is a Public, 18 hole golf course located in Phoenix, Arizona.
Papago first opened in 1963. The course was designed by William F. Bell. Jack Snyder, provided some modest redesign to Papago in 1977.
Papago has long been considered one of the better municipal golf courses in the United States. It is the home of the Phoenix Open Qualifying. The course has wide fairways and undulating greens.
Par for the course is 72. From the back tees, the course plays to 7,333 yards. From the forward tees, the course measures 5,404 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 15, a par-5 that plays to 585 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 11, a par-3 that plays to 187 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 3, a 467-yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole is # 10, a 525 yard par-5.
