Palo Duro Creek Golf Course is a Semi-Private, 18 hole golf course located in Nogales, Arizona.
Palo Duro Creek Golf Course first opened for play in 1963. The course was designed by Red Lawrence.
The Palo Duro Creek Golf Course is laid out in desert canyons and foothills and finishes with three holes bordering one of Arizona's few natural wetlands. The course has classic high desert vegetation. The front nine is called the Canyon Course (for Portrero Canyon) and the back is called the Lakes Course (with water coming into play on five holes). Both boast panoramic views of the Santa Rita and San Cayetano Mountains.
Par for the course is 72. From the back tees, the course plays to 6,923 yards. From the forward tees, the course plays to 5,701 yards. The longest hole on the course is #5, a par-5 that plays to 573 yards. The shortest holes on the course are # 5 & 13, both par-3's play to 182 yards from the back tees.
The course closed on 2009.
The city has owned the Palo Duro property, including the golf course, swimming pool, and clubhouse, since 1976 when it bought the property for the underground Potrero well system.
Since 2009, the restaurant has operated for periods of time under various names.
