Apache Wells Country Club first opened for play in 1963. The course was designed by Jack Snyder.
This is an eighteen hole par 71 course with three Tee Boxes per hole. The Blue Tee Yardage totals 6,038 Yards, the White Tee Yardage totals 5,746 Yards and the Red Tee Yardage totals 5,292 Yards. There are 3 Par Threes and 1 Par Five on the Front Nine which has a 34 par. The Back Nine is a par 37 with 3 Par Threes and 4 Par Fives.
The course was designed with seniors in mind and is basically flat. A housing development, along with a scattering of trees line many of the fairways. All holes have “OB” on both sides, due to homes and other facilities adjacent to the course. Water comes into play on six holes. This semi-private course is open to the public April 15 through October 31. From November 1 through April 14, the course is closed to the public except for a Sunday morning shotgun start at 8 AM.
Par for the course is 71. From the back tees, the course plays to 6,038 yards. From the forward tees, the course measures 5,354 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 8, a par-5 that plays to 536 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 4, a par-3 that plays to 151 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 14, a 398 yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole is # 2, a 154 yard par-3.
