Detailed description

Timberline Golf Club is an 18-hole semi-private golf course located in Calera, Alabama. The location is very convenient and just minutes from Birmingham, Alabama

Timberline Golf Club first opened for play in 2002. The course was designed by Jerry Pate.

The semi-private Timberline Golf Club offers a player's golf course and test for all skill levels.

Timberline Golf Club was built in part on land where a nine-hole course (Buxahatchee Country Club) formerly stood. The new course has very little relationship to the old. Additional land was purchased to provide new space for the extra nine holes, and then developers started from scratch.

"We just tore the whole thing up and started over," says designer Jerry Pate about his par-71 course design that plays at almost 7,000 yards from the tips.

Timberline Golf Club is fun to play, well manicured and rolls gently up and down a beautiful site well shaded by tall pines and huge oaks and hardwoods that give the course its name.

Par for the course is 71. From the back tees the course plays to 6,773 yards. From the forward tees the course measures 4,665 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 11, a par-5 that plays to 575 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 2, a par-3 that plays to 153 yards from the back tees.

Watch out for # 4, a 438 yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole is # 15, a 542 yard par-5.
